TREATY 7 LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

As a resident of the town of Cochrane, and in the spirit of truth and reconciliation, I would like to acknowledge and honour Treaty 7 - specifically, the First Nations peoples and traditional lands of Chiniki, Bearspaw and Goodstoney; as well as the Métis of the Rocky View Métis District.

I further honour and acknowledge that Treaty 7 is the traditional homeland of the First Nations peoples of Tsuut’ina, Siksika, Piikani and Kainai.
